“Every time she’d find a minute
That’s the time that they begin it
Cinderelly, Cinderelly
Cinderella!
Cinderelly, Cinderelly
Night and day it’s Cinderelly
Make the fire, fix the breakfast
Wash the dishes, do the mopping
And the sweeping and the dusting
They always keep her hopping
She goes around in circles
Till she’s very, very dizzy
Still they holler
Keep a-busy Cinderelly
We can do it, we can do it
We can help our Cinderelly
We can make her dress so pretty
There’s nothing to it, really
We’ll tie a sash around it
Put a ribbon through it
When dancing at the ball
She’ll be more beautiful than all
In the lovely dress we’ll make for Cinderelly
Hurry, hurry, hurry, hurry
Gonna help our Cinderelly
Got no time to dilly-dally
We gotta get a-goin’
I’ll cut with these scissors
And I can do the sewing
Leave the sewing to the women
You go get some trimmin’
And we’ll make a lovely dress for
Cinderlly
We’ll make a lovely dress for
Cinderelly…”

https://i0.wp.com/www.clker.com/cliparts/A/b/Z/n/y/M/princess-th.png  As we all know, or are familiar with, once upon a time there was a pretty young maiden, who’s mother and father were no longer living, but who was still subject to the kindness shown to her by her step-mother, and her two step-sisters, Drusilla, and Anastasia.  Unfortunately for poor Ella, or Cinder Ella as they liked to call her, their kindness was far too often missing in their dealings with her.

https://i1.wp.com/www.clker.com/cliparts/f/d/f/7/1194985261544562729principessa_bn.svg.thumb.png   The funny thing is that it took until I watched a Disney movie, with live actors portraying the characters, that I found out that her given name had been Ella.  That’s something that had escaped me all these years.  I realized I’d never once wondered what her real name had been before they gave her that cruel nickname, “Cinderella”.  But, apparently, according to that movie, her given name is/was “Ella”, which makes perfect sense, if her insulting nickname was “Cinder-ella/Cinder Ella”–of course!

https://i2.wp.com/www.clker.com/cliparts/h/T/d/x/0/3/princess-th.png   However, that fact suddenly brought back to my mind that, a few years ago, and for some odd reason, some singers in videos on YouTube that I’d come across, continually made references to “Ella”.  They couldn’t seem to get enough of that name, and they’d actually sprinkle it here and there, inside their music videos, until, finally, some keen individuals picked up on it, and wondered if it wasn’t a reference to this comet that had been given the name “Elenin”.   The people in the videos would say over and over, “Ella, Ella, Ella”, or even rhyme it with “umbrella”.  I thought that was very curious, bordering on the absurd actually.  That is, until I saw that particular movie in which it’s made clear that “Cinderella” started out her life as “Ella”.  But, why in the world would so many people continually insert her name into their music videos that way?  That had me so totally confused!

https://i0.wp.com/www.clker.com/cliparts/A/b/Z/n/y/M/princess-th.png   I did do an online search for the name “Ella”, thinking perhaps that would yield up some clue, or some helpful information.  And, I actually think it may have, in a way.  Because, it was during that search that I came across some info on a new contraceptive drug they had named “Ella”, believe it or not:

They also have numbers for women to call should they suffer any of the apparently nasty ‘side-effects’ from dear, old “Ella”, as well–shocking–a drug that can do a ‘number’ on those who rely on it!  But, why would a bunch of musical talents be chanting the name of their contraceptive over and over in their music videos that way?

How strange are people going to get, anyway?!  https://i0.wp.com/www.clker.com/cliparts/8/W/h/w/O/K/sheep-cross-eyed-up-th.png
